The only is issue is that they're lined with fur all the way round the inside so my feet are like miniature radiators after I've worn them. I'll put up with it though! :)

New boots with red laces
So I bought some new shoes from ASOS marketplace (the better version of eBay, just a bit more expensive). I really like the red laces and the logo on the side.

Charity shops are the best
I'm on a tight budget at the moment as I am saving up for two pairs of shoes and a dress, so Today I decided to peruse the charity shops of York. They're very hit and miss and I generally like the mens section more than the womens, but half the fun is in the searching through the rails and the rewarding feeling when you find something. This afternoon was no dissapointment, and I managed to find these little babies at the bargain price of TWO POUNDS.
I really like the motif on the tongue and feel like it was fate that I bought them seeing as they're a size six (my size) and the perfect fit.
I also fancied a new t shirt as I recently cut up quite a few of my t shirts into vests and now regret is as I like rolling up the sleeves on baggy t shirts and tucking them into shorts etc. I managed to find this at the back of one of the charity shops on the mens rail.
It's XXL, so just a bit baggy then...
Closer look at the image ^^^
Don't knock charity shops till you've tried them as there are some gems between the Marks and Spencers mum tops and nineties skirts. I only spent a fiver today (the t shirt was three pounds) and am very happy with my purchases! Try them :)

The sun is here!
Today, the sun decided to make an appearance at last! It was great to finally shove my previous jumpers to the back of my wardrobe and get my shoulders out. I decided to play it simple without looking too boring and ended up with this.
I look like a complete box in this photo but I actually quite like the finished effect and am even warming to my previously shunned Converse again.
Above you can see them in all their glory. I'm also trying out the casual wrapping round the waist of the shirt, it makes for a dressed down summery look. Today I also spotted someone who I could use for my first street style post but she got away :/ Lets hope the weather stays how it is (although I can't wait for winter clothes)!

NIKE AIR FORCE 1s
I am in desperate need of more money (ten pound a week goes towards Leeds Fest, another ten pounds a week goes towards London) as I NEED these shoes. Along with three other pairs and various other garments. Hate having no money! If anyone has any quick fire ways of getting money, let me know!
The first jumper in months
Today I ventured outside in a woolly jumper, the first proper knitted jumper I've worn in months. This 'Summer' is basically an extended Winter, so I've decided to stop pretending it's sunny by wearing summery clothes and I'm going to embrace the chance to wear my jumpers for a bit longer.
I've actually gone off jumpers a bit, I prefer sweaters, but I have a couple that I still really like eg. the one you can see below.
As you can see, I paired it up with some basic black jeans and my Dr Martens boots and pendant necklace.
I'm also obsessed with wearing my black leather rucksack at the moment as it casualises any outfit and is also very practical! Here's a closer look at it below.
So my advise to you all is to get out your jumpers and boots and just enjoy wearing Winter clothes in a time when you're usually getting sunburnt and attacked by pollen. I certainly will be!

New blazer and two new shirts = All money gone
At the weekend, one of my local vintage shops, Purple Haze, relocated. This was for various reasons, the main one being the need for a bigger shop floor. I can safely say the new shop has some lovely touches, such as the mock book wallpaper on the wall behind the counter (giving the impression of Ollivanders Wand Shop) and an upstairs purely for menswear. This new shop opening was good and bad news because my purse was quickly emptied of all currency in under three days of the new shop being there.
On the Saturday, I decided to christen the new opening by buying this gorgeous colourful shirt. It almost looks like a bomber jacket here, but in reality it's made of a very light material. Perfect for Summer!
I wore it on the Saturday night when I went to see the new (amazing) Harry Potter at the cinema with a leather waist high skirt, long pendant necklace and Dr Marten classic black shoes. I also added red lipstick, one of my trademark touches, to bring out the colour in the shirt. I wore it the next day with my straight leg Levis, brown 80s boots/black Dr Marten boots and black Harrington jacket for a more casual look.
On the Monday, instead of saving up for a near by trip to London like I should be, I splashed out on two other beauties, including this little baby.
I'd wanted a tweed blazer since A/W last year, so I had to grab this at the bargain price of £29 to get myself ready for Autumn, my favourite time of the year for clothes. The only bad thing about this lovely jacket is that it doesn't have elbow patches, but I'm considering getting my hands dirty and sewing them on myself.
This was my second purchase of the day, another shirt to add to my collection.
I love the pattern and I have tried wearing it with my leather skirt and Dr Marten shoes again, sleeves down and buttons fully done up, for a more sixties look. It looks pretty Modish and although I've recently been wearing my shirts with the buttons down for a summery look, the buttons up really complete the outfit.
I won't be buying anything else for at least another week, AND I need to save up for a massive shopping trip in London. Sob :( It's worth it though!

Brothel Creepers and oxblood red

I have completely fallen in love with Brothel Creeper shoes. They are perfect for the autumn Mod trend or just to pay homage to Mods in general. You can go back to basics with some proper Brothel Creepers like these white ones from Underground, my current favourites from the site (with the black ones a close second), or tone it down a bit by opting for a pair like these gorgeous oxblood coloured brogue/brothel creepers from Topshop. Oxblood is one of my favourite colours ever for shoes (ie the classic oxblood Dr Martens) as it conjures up images of the Mods brother, the Skin Head, and proper Brittish clothing which I am a huge fan of. I'm saving up for both pairs. Need more money!
